Frenum piercing

This piercing is made through the loose skin along the underside of the penile shaft, about 3/8" below the "V" formed by the corona. The amount of available tissue varies and depends on how much tissue was removed during circumcision. The frenulum itself, which is sometimes left intact after circumcision, is not strong enough to support jewelry. The piercing can then be repeated the length of the shaft, on any/all sides, until you run out of room. A series of frenum piercings is called a Frenum Ladder. The skin of the lower half of the penis tends to be thinner and flatter, increasing the chance of migration or rejection. A frenum piercing made at the base of the penis has acquired the name Lorum, short for lower frenum.
